Can windscreen cracks be fixed?

Small chips can be repaired if they are on the passenger side or a side window. Any chip or crack that is on the driver’s side cannot be repaired. Cracks, bullseye breaks, and large chips cannot be repaired, the glass must be replaced.

How long after the windscreen is replaced can I drive my car?

Driving a car with a cracked or broken windscreen is illegal and you can be booked for having a defective windscreen. Driving with a cracked windscreen is dangerous to both you and the other road users. Aside from impacting your vision, the crack can cause reflections that also impact the ability for other drivers to see properly.
